Britt Metal Processing, Inc. was founded by Richard T. Britt in 1965. For the past 35 years Britt Metal Processing has been serving it's customers with the Highest Quality Aviation Part Repairs in the industry. In 1985 Britt Metal Processing moved to its current facility at 15800 Northwest 49th Avenue in Miami, Florida. This 35,500 square foot building was custom designed expressly for the purpose of aircraft engine parts repair.

Inventory
Britt Metal Processing has an extensive inventory of Serviceable Parts for immediate exchange or sale. Britt Metal Processing also maintains over 500 detail items for use during the repair process. These detail items are produced entirely in-house for complete control of Quality and supply. Our computerized inventory system tracks all items issued to Repair Orders with complete traceability. The system allows allocation of inventory and creates purchase requests when reorder points are met. All inventory is bar-coded and all distribution of inventory is tracked and stored in Data Bases on the company's computer system.
Systems
Britt Metal Processing utilizes Novell Networking and
Intermec Barcode Equipment with over a million lines of custom created
software to manage all aspects of the Repair Order processing,
inventory distribution and traceability. The barcoding of Repair
Orders, Repair Process Travelers
and Inventory give Order_Administration
Real Time information on each Repair as it moves through the shops. The
system tracks and stores detailed information about every operation
performed as well as the inventory consumed during each Repair. Upon
finishing the Part Repair the system generates FAA-8130-3, Yellow Tag, detailed maintenance release
forms and Spec 2000
compatible shipping label. This software also monitors tool
calibration, equipment maintanence and contols the tempature of the
entire buliding. Our computerized Email
and Fax_System with
automated message distribution make communication fast and efficient.
Because the system was created exclusively for Britt Metal Processing
by it's own programers it can be customized quickly to meet all our
customers needs. To ensure Zero Down Time Britt Metal Processing has
installed a 450 Kw 440 volt 3 phase Diesel Generator with automated
start and load controls
Approvals
Repairs reflected on each Product Repair Bulletin are approved by either the individual 121/129 operator, the OEM and/or the FAA. Repairs described under of area of "Repair Descriptions of Britt Metal Major Repair XXXX" are major repairs that have been FAA approved. These repairs are on file at the FAA Airport Certification Office.
Pricing / Invoicing
Price Estimates prior to accomplishment of services will be provided for purchase orders that specify such requests. Unforeseen work scope changes that differ from those specified in the initial estimate may be subject to additional charges and Britt Metal may request a purchase order revision for such work scope changes. Payment of services rendered are required within 30 calendar days from the date of invoice, with prior credit approval.
Turn Time
Britt Metal publishes a standard 15 days turn time for most services. Turn time is defined as the number of standard business day excluding holidays days between the "start" date and the "ship" date. In most cases, the actual turn time is much less.
Expedited Service
Britt Metal Processing recognized that, on occasion, our customers require parts or services in less that the normal published lead time. In these instances, expedited service is offered under the following established priorities.
AOG Service
Is provided for customers who have an aircraft grounded. The shipment of all AOG requirements, predicated on availability, will be completed within 24 hours of receiving the AOG request. A 12% exchange fee and a special handling charge of $100 will be assessed for each part or component shipped on an AOG order.
Critical Service
Is provided for customers who have an imminent AOG or shop work stoppage. The shipment of all critical requirements, predicated on availability, will be completed within 72 hours of receiving a critical request. A 12% exchange fee will be assessed against each part or component shipped on a critical order.
Standard Expedite Service
Is provided for customers who require delivery schedules in less than the published lead time. The shipment of all expedited requirements, predicated on availability, will be shipped on a best effort to meet the delivery schedule specified by the purchase order. A 10% expediting fee will be assessed for each part or component shipped within 15 days after receipt of expedited order. All requests for expedited delivery of work-in-process will be subject to negotiation. Britt Metal reserves the right to ship an exchange part of the customer's original part on all expedite orders.
Exchanges parts
Shipped under a AOG, Critical Service or Standard Expedite Service order require the receipt of a repairable core at Britt Metal Processing within 7 calendar days of the ship date of the exchange part. If a repairable core is not received, the customer will be invoiced for the cost to procure a replacement core. The exchange price will reflect the cost to restore the repairable core plus the appropriate expedite service fee. Customer request for any or all levels of the expedite service constitutes automatic acceptance of exchange parts.

Outbound transportation charges will be F.O.B., Miami, Florida, USA, Collect.

Warranty
Britt Metal Processing, Inc. warrants its workmanship and materials to be free from defects. Britt Metal Processing, Inc. limits its liability to replacing or repairing any part which is defective in workmanship or materials and which is returned within ninety (90) days after first use or one hundred eighty (180) days after delivery, whichever is earlier. This warranty shall not apply to any product which shall have been rendered defective by reason of improper storage, installation, misuse, neglect or accident. In no event shall Britt Metal Processing, Inc., be liable for collateral or consequential damages or charges. These warranties are expressed in lieu of all other warranties or representations, expressed or implied, and no agreement extending these warranties shall be binding upon Britt Metal Processing, Inc. unless in writing and signed by a duly authorized representative.
